I have schizophrenia and was on 3mg risperidone it's being lowered to 2.5mg. my question is will there be withdrawal symptoms lowering the dose been on this dose now for five days and feel a bit of brain fog and wired up like i'm on more meds now?

Resperidome: Every one is different. I would go to drugs.com and read details and enter any other meds u r taking into their drug interaction check. Then discuss with your team. They know you. Every medicine is an experiment in every patient. Task is find lowest dose that works in you. If it were easy we would not need Drs to help.

Risperidone: I am wondering if your doctor is lowering your dose of Risperidone because of the side effects you are experiencing. There is no guarantee that the 0.5mg dose change will alleviate side effects but it may.
