Alternating ovaries.: During the menstrual cycle, the ovaries release an egg (ovulation). Each month, the ovaries alternate which ovary will release the egg. It is possible that your PMS symptoms are originating with one of the ovaries but not the other so your symptoms would only occur every other month. You should discuss this with your gyn doctor to determine the best treatment! Best of luck to you!

Menstrual cycle: You doctor can prescribe pills that can limit your periods to once in 3-12 months and that may address your symptoms. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.
