Odd statement: I can see a testis withdrawing inside the abdomen but not traveling to the middle of the abdomen. I would have him sit in a tub of warm water for a while & see if the testis can descend back into position by itself. Relaxing the muscles around it may allow this. If it persists after several days of this effort have him evaluated.

Secondary ascent: Need to be more specific. You likely mean that balls are now located in groin or lower abdomen, which some incorrectly call "stomach". Balls that were thought to be retractile normal (move up & down) were in fact incompletely descended & with time end up in groin or inguinal canal. Some retractile testes gets stuck above scrotum in early puberty.Surgery required if no descent, as suggested by Dr F
