Yes: There are some very good studies that long term use of Famotidine can predispose people to pneumonia. It changes the amount of acid in your stomach, and certain bacteria then thrive in this less acidic environment. If you have micro-aspirations of stomach contents into your lungs, you can cause a pneumonia. There is also concern about long term use possibly causing digestive issues as well.
