A member asked:

A drop of rubbing alcohol slipped from my forehead into the corner of my right eye. rinsed my eye for a few minutes. the stinging stopped within a minute, but it's been 8 hours and my eye is still a little irritated/sore. will my vision be affected?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Alcohol in eye: Rubbing alcohol can cause significant surface irritation and even corneal abrasion. You washed your eye out well, but I still recommend consulting an ophthalmologist to check for damage, which can need treatment, in view of the subsequent eye discomfort.
