A member asked:

Would you consider a patient with 99% of their pvcs to be one morphology and very rarely one of a different morphology to have multifocal pvcs? what is the cutoff?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes.: Do not know what you mean by “cut off”. More than one morphology of a PVC can be described as multi focal. Keep in mind that sinus beats interspersed with PVCs May be conducted aberrantly and may mimic a PVC from another ventricular focus. Careful mapping of the sinus beats will avoid this error. In a healthy heart an occasional multifocal PVC may not add to the potential risk of PVC .
