Hi i had a transvaginal scan yesterday and it showed the sac this was because i was bleeding. i've been bleeding brown blood and now started bleeding dark red to light red blood which is on and off. i was wondering if this could be cause of the scan?

Transvaginal U/S ?: With bleeding as a reason to perform a transvaginal U/S, and showing a "sac" without showing a fetus, given the continued bleeding after the scan, the pregnancy may not persist. The vaginal probe may start cervical bleeding, so it is advisable to have another scan or a serum quantitative HCG test to see if the pregnancy is still viable.
