Colitis: Mucus from the anus indicates for colon (large bowel) is inflamed. You need to see a doctor to determine why its inflamed and what needs to be done about it. There is no “just anal discharge” but it could be a short term temporary condition (infection) or a long term, more serious inflammatory bowel disease.
