IUD ?'s: IUD's with a copper constituent are safe and reliable contraceptives, but if one has not been pregnant , any IUD can be uncomfortable on insertion and thereafter, with cramping and occasional bleeding. If your cycle is regular now (24-32 days apart) an IUD (exept for Mirena, which has a progestin component) is appropriate.
