Our grandson was born 2 days ago.he apparently aspirated some meconium before birth.he has been lethargic since birth.he was started on antibiotics and o2. he no longer needs the c pap machine .is this normal to be so lethargic?

Newborn "lethargy" ?: Although not generally reported, with the current pandemic , it is possible that your grandson acquired the Covid virus, with the "lethargy" symptom a common occurrence in some individuals. Ask the OB physician who delivered your grandson if a PCR test was done on the mother ( your daughter) . Meconium aspiration will also produce these kinds of symptoms.
