A member asked:

Very good morning doctors! on an electrocardiogram, what do the following 2 things mean: qtc 439 ms and qt interval 419 ms? are these good or not good?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Within normal range.: The QT interval in the ECG is a measure of the duration of ventricular electrical activation and recovery. QTc refers to the same interval corrected for the heart rate at the time of recording. Inherited problems with the QT interval are commonly associated with rhythm problems as are the effects of electrolytes in the blood and medications. The QT shortens with increased heart rate and vice versa
