I still have the remains of a rash, shoulder area, from a year ago. it was bad & i was told it was shingles. is there a test i can take that would confirm if it is still shingles? i want to take the covid vaccine and do not know if i should?

COVID vaccine: Active herpes zoster (shingles) doesn't last a year. Probably "remains" of the rash means you still have some scarring and discoloration, right? This definitely will not interfere at all with COVID vaccine. You should be vaccinated as soon as it's available to you. But if still in doubt, double check with your personal physician. Good luck.
