Is it ok if i stop my birth control for a month and restart taking it next month?? what effects will it have on my body?

Basics: The pill generally works by maintaining a stable level of hormone(s) in the blood that prevents egg release. Stop the pill for a month & the system re-sets to normal & eggs release. Many OB's recommend a backup BC for up to a month when starting the pill to be sure eggs are not released while the body adapts to it.
