5 days ago my right lower back began to hurt after carrying groceries.. yesterday, i was intense pain and it radiated to the front under my right ribcage. that lasted for 4-5 hours. it is a dull ache now. wondering if i should see a doctor?

Follow up: A visit with your physician or with urgent care is recommended. It is most likely muscular pain, but cardiac conditions such as angina should also be excluded. Place a heating pad on the chest wall and take Motrin for pain relief. Watch for recurrence of pain, sharp pain and chest pressure. The onset was with activity and muscular strain and cardiac conditions should be considered.
