A member asked:

If i use canesten clotrimazole cream on the meatus of the penis where the urine comes out, is it possible that it can go into bladder, kidneys, bloodstream and cause problems? also if i urinate after applying the cream to that area, what should i do?

Clotrimazole: Will not go into bladder, kidneys or blood stream. May enter 1 - 2 mm into meatus, but no further, so don't fret. Just tap or shake penis after urinating. It can be applied 2 - 3 times/day, is quite safe and rarely induces allergic reaction. Generic clotrimazole just as good as Canesten brand.
