Chancroid: Chancroid is an STD caused by the bacteria Haemophilus Ducreyi. In females, it can frequently be asymptomatic. If you have been sexually active with a partner who has chancroid, you should be tested. Delay in treatment can cause severe damage to genitals or skin. Persons with untreated Chancroid are also much more highly at risk of HIV infection. Treatment involves a simple course of antibiotics.
