A 18-year-old female asked:
Can you treat pelvic floor dysfunction by yourself? when i go to the bathroom, i can't try to push, that is why i think my sphincter can't relax due to straining with previous bowel movements?

Not so simple: There are a number of physical therapists who specialize in pelvic floor dysfunction. If you truly do possess this, first there is a need to try to uncover cause and confirm the location. Try to achieve an evaluation via an OB-GYN doctor. The therapy can be very helpful but could take several weeks to months.
