Tramadol constipated: Stool impaction can cause urinary retention, however, should not occur if not costipated. Tramadol is habit forming & thus should be used sparingly as if it was a narcotic. Hope you are not having constant pain in which case would advise your switching to ibuprofen 10 mg/Kg body weight 6 hourly. Headaches, dry mouth & excessive sweating are also well known side effects of Tramadol.
