A member asked:

What are the diagnostic tests for autoimmune diseases that affect gi tract or cause malabsorption?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Need more info: It depends on the clinical circumstances and associated symptoms and signs. A partial list of tests/diseases includes: Celiac disease, scleroderma. Tropical sprue, atrophic gastritis, Crohn's disease, etc. It would be prudent to see a GI doctor and s/he can decide better which tests would be more appropriate. Wish you good health!
