Discontinued: YAZ has been discontinued in many countries because its component drospirenone has been linked to much higher rates of blood clots leading to death or significant morbidity. Talk to your prescribing Dr about which other oral contraceptive is right for you. You will need a new prescription for whichever medication you decide to use.
