Yes worry: Genital warts (hpv) are contracted through sexual encounter. A concurrent std/sti infection would not be unusual. Condoms do not provide immunity against contracting hpv. For newly diagnosed genital warts, treatment is available, but there is no cure. The virus can still be transmitted after the wart has subsided. A complete std panel as well as a pap smear is recommended.
