Stem=stem: Stem cells create sperm,. In the formation of sperm the normal 23 pairs of chromosomes split leaving the sperm with 23 single chromosomes that join with the 23 in the egg. This union returns the conception to 46 chromosomes that make up human cells. Sperm cannot replicate.

No. See below,: Sperm cells are formed inside of seminiferous tubules (ST) in testis. Sperm originates from spermatogonia (germinal epithelial cell) lining ST. Spermatogonia proliferate and differentiate through definite stages of development to form sperm.
