BCP ?'s: Today"s "low dose" bcp's need to be taken punctually. An "active" pill (not placebo) should be taken within the same hour as the previous day's active pill to avoid breakthrough bleeding ("brown discharge"). Delay in starting a new pack of even a few days after the placebo may allow ovulation. If pregnancy is possible, obtain a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy.
