No way to stop it: Hormonal Oral Contraceptives contain hormones that regulate your menstrual cycle. Typically, when a woman misses 1-2 pills, their natural hormones take over and the protection wanes and needs to be reset. Use an alternative form of birth control in addition to your pill for 10 days or until you have your period. It is possible to get pregnant if you do not use an alternative form of birth control.
