Probable: The timing you describe could indeed be infection needing treatment. May want to try antibiotic ointment and cleansing area at least daily but your symptoms are worrisome. Consider televisit so doctor can see ear or picture of ear to make decision on oral antibiotics and do it now as the longer you wait if it is infection the harder to clear and more damage that may occur.
