A member asked:

How to treat skin tags on underarm without surgery? is it safe to shave your underarm just the way you used to without the skin tag?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Skin tags: The best thing to do is to go to your primary care provider or dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment. This is important in order to provide a proper diagnosis and treatment plan and minimize scarring/infections. Typically skin tags treated (outpatient basis) surgically (minor), cauterization, ligature or cryotherapy. Eat healthy diet and exercise if overweight/obese. Shaving may aggravate it.
