Prolonged period ?'s: First, a post ovulatory "period" is not usually "9 days long". Light bleeding thereafter may indicate a pregnancy outside the uterus (ectopic), so obtain a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy. If positive, see your physician immediately to determine the location of the pregnancy. If negative, and the bleeding persists, see your gyn physician for an exam and other testing.
