Back pain: It could be a lumbar muscle injury. Observe for urinary symptoms. The kidneys are located between the waist and shoulder blade. Go to the hospital emergency room for any urinary symptoms as prompt evaluation and testing will be available. Otherwise apply alternating cold and heat for 20 minutes every few hours & take anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen or naproxen for muscle soreness.
