Depo-provera ?'s: The depo-provera shot lasts for about three months, so if "stopping" the shot means you are now over three months removed from the depo shot, then spotting is certainly possible. If pregnancy is possible, wait another week and obtain a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy. Depo shots can interfere with normal ovulation, so your normal cycle may resume spontaneously.
