Have been in contact with someone that tested positive for covid 19 about a week ago...symptoms currently experiencing weakness, headache, no appetite and headaches...should i go for a covid test?

Yes: Get your doc involved and aware, call work and/or school as you will need to be in quarantine. Even if you test negative, the test will still help in diagnosing correctly your symptoms. Weakness is somewhat typical of a viral infection and with the sick contact history COVID appears likely.
