My son's left testical hurts and he has extreme nausea, no vomiting. what could cause this?

Exam now: Could be trauma or infection or most dangerous possibility is torsion which could result in loss of testicle if not treated ASAP. Need exam to differentiate between trauma or infection like epididymitis or possible torsion. Even if you have to do a remote visit consult with someone now and tell if there is fever, swelling, redness, or other symptoms.
