GP: Your GP will be your best reference in coordinating testing locally. There are screening sites, but ultimately you will need a local doc to make the referral in order for you to have the test.

Wear a mask, stay away from others, practice hand hygiene. Be sure to get tested, if you get symptoms. If you develop breathing difficulty, go to the nearest hospital, immediately. In South Africa a medical provider will determine need for COVID 19 testing. Consult your local primary care provider or you can use telemedicine for individual consultations. There are a number of free apps to look at your risk.

Differs by location.: In South Africa- one needs to consult with a medical provider who will make determination about whether to test for COVID 19 or not. You can consult your local primary care provider. There are also other resources such as “Talk –to-Doctor” on HealthTap. In USA the testing policies vary by state.
