Early stage : Most woman not know they pregnant till 6-8 weeks. If you miss period and test is positive- you are pregnant . Question about bloody discharge ... in this stage of pregnancy sometimes “ missed abortion “ comes as heavy period without knowing you were pregnant. Light spotting may be not abortion - just normal variation . I would recommend to repeat pregnancy test in few days or week and follow OB
