Is it safe to rub aspercreme w/ lidocaine cream or voltaren gel onto your neck for pain? or would it irritate your throat?

THINK IT IS OK: What part of the neck the back or the front? I do not think that it should hurt your throat. The cream obviously does get absorbed but I do not think not bothers the throat especially if applied to the back of the neck.
