OTC meds: Certainly if he/she suspects yeast you can use monistat, gynelotrimin (clotrimazole) or one of the few otc anti yeast medications. You can try vagisil for a short period of time. A sitz bath with a little baking soda in the water may help as well. If the discharge is associated with an odor, it is less likely yeast. For that you can try rephresh ph until the test results return.
