Pregnant with pain ?: A delayed period followed by intermittent bleeding may be caused by pregnancy outside the uterus (ectopic). Obtain a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy, and see your gyn ASAP if positive. There are other causes of delayed periods, and your gyn can do other testing.
