Whats the diference between atenolol and propanolol?what is better for the physical symtoms of anxiety?its true that atenolol work only on the heart?

Similar to a point: Both are in the same class of heart meds (beta-blockers). It is true, though, that atenolol works more just on the heart, because it crosses into the brain much less than propranolol. This is what makes Propranolol much more effective for other things, like migraines, anxiety, etc., where the drug has to cross into the brain in order to work for these things. For anxiety, i would use propranolol.
