ECG and anxiety: Anxiety would not elevate troponin nor cause PR segment abnormalities. Anxiety does commonly increase heart rate on ECG. Perhaps the release of adrenaline from anxiety could make one more prone to extra early beats, either from the top of the heart (Premature Atrial Complexes=PAC) or from the bottom of the heart (Premature Ventricular Complexes=PVC).
