My arm is swollen and there is a red spot. around the red spot there is a yellow pigmentation. please help?

Examination by a physician is advisable. I suspect an insect bite with yellowish skin changes probably caused by breakdown products of some bleeding that occurred at the time of the puncture. I'm concerned about the arm swelling which can be an allergic reaction. Presence of surrounding and spreading redness would indicate secondary bacterial infection requiring oral antibiotics.
