No anti-virals.: Only 5% of peopel infected with htlv-1 will develop diseases, and their treatment is disease specific. Asymptomatic people who carry the virus are not treated, as no anti-viral drugs have been found that work. The serious complications of htlv-1 or adult t-cell leukemia-lymphoma and htlv-1 associated myelopathy and they have specific treatments. Need to avoid giving the virus to others.
