Yes: In young women,a single dose often suffices, but occasionally a second dose 3 days later is needed. You are way past the 3 day mark and your physician may recommend another dose or more aggressive treatment. Bear in mind that sexual partners can pass the yeast infection back and forth and, thus, your partner may need treatment for a penile yeast infection.
