Herpes Contagion?: Probably not. But, please remember you will be contagious at times when you do not have an outbreak. This is new information. And, it means that you may want to consider going on a medication to limit your 'viral shedding' or contagiousness if you are sexually active with a partner who is negative. There are no documented cases of herpes exposure from inanimate objects. Thus no worry for son.
