Herpes symptoms: During a herpes outbreak -- that is, if you also have genital blisters or sores -- you could have this symptom at the same time; or this might precede an oubreak by a day or two.. In these cases, it will clear up soon. Genital herpes is not known to cause such symptoms without an outbreak, and no nerve symptoms that last more than a few days (despite many online claims to the contrary).
