Irregular bleeding: Heavy bleeding mid cycle is not normal, and can be due to hormonal or anatomic abnormalities. See your doctor for lab tests, exam, and ultrasound.

Abnormal ovulation: What you describe is abnormal. Either the ovulation is extremely abnormal or you did not ovulated all.
