Ovulation ?'s: "Spotting" just prior to actual ovulation may occur when two eggs have been stimulated simultaneously to ovulate, which leads to much higher estrogen levels. The estrogen levels go to near zero just before ovulate, and the drop may produce withdrawal bleeding just like at the time of menses, but not heavy or prolonged. See your gyn physician if this continues.
