Early pregnancy : About 50% of pregnant women experience bleeding in the first trimester. This is very common. It sounds like you are nearing your due date now. Bleeding early on in pregnancy is not likely to be an issue at this point in your pregnancy.

Normal: Some light spotting or brown discharge is normal early in the first trimester. One explanation for spotting in the 3rd week of a pregnancy is that the embryo is implanting in the uterus and the burrowing causes some spotting. Other brown or red discharge could just be due to the increased uterine vascular development that occurs when growing the placenta. All of this is normal.
