Im 38. last period was late 2 days and lasted 4 (only one day of heavy bleeding/clots and cramps). my periods usually last 6-7 days, 2 days of heavy bleeding. currently underweight. had a similar period 6 months ago. could it mean im not ovulating?

Not necessarily: Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is one cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.
