Dx by whom ?: Bald spots on the scalp can be from several different origins. I would not assume it is AA unless this was confirmed by a dermatologist. All the immune related disorders (minor or major) are linked in some way, but the degree is best evaluated with a full review of the family history along with a firm diagnosis.
