Stool odor: In my experience the odor of stools is quite nonspecific and doesn't identify a disease. Chemical odor of stool is felt to be caused by incomplete breakdown of proteins in the intestinal tract. On the other hand, very foul smelling stools can be a sign of malabsorption or infections and inflammatory disorders of the intestinal tract.. I feel that your symptom doesn't fall into any such category.
