Recurrent pain: When a treated pain does not go away, it suggests that something is NOT healing, or a different problem exists. For the 1st, are you using the shoulder for work or exercise? continued strain prevents healing. For the 2nd, x rays may be needed and/or blood tests to look for pathology. PMR or Ortho doc’s or your FP can examine. In the meantime try Voltaren gel to shoulder. Good luck
